Getting Started

During summer, new players should start with a coordinated community-play time at the Big Dipper and use the Farthest North Pickleball Club calendar to find an active session. In winter, UAF club play is the main local route into indoor games. The Alaska Club also notes that experienced players are normally available to help newcomers during pick-up sessions. Individual instruction is listed in the Coaches section.

Open Play and Organized Pickleball

The Farthest North Pickleball Club organizes seasonal community play, clinics, tournaments, and special events. Summer activities use the Big Dipper courts, including the club's midnight-sun play tradition. Winter sessions move to the UAF Student Recreation Center and may be posted only a few days ahead because they depend on university scheduling.
